Reviewers are chosen for their expertise, independence, and reliability.

• The handling editor selects reviewers with recognised publications in the manuscript's topic or method.
• Reviewers must not be from the same institution as any author, have collaborated with an author in the last three years, or have any other conflict of interest.
• Members of the editorial team are not used as reviewers.
• We aim to include reviewers from more than one institution and country.
• Reviewer identities and email addresses are verified through institutional pages or research profiles before invitation, to prevent Peer Review Manipulation.
