Authors may appeal against a decision if they believe it was based on a factual error, a misunderstanding of the work, or a procedural problem.

1. Send the appeal to inotek@uny.ac.id within 30 days of the decision, with the manuscript ID and a point-by-point explanation.
2. The appeal is assessed by the Editor-in-Chief, or by an editor not involved in the original decision. A new reviewer may be consulted.
3. The journal acknowledges the appeal within 7 working days and gives a reasoned answer within 30 days.
4. The decision on an appeal is final. Only one appeal per manuscript is considered.

Disagreement with a reviewer's opinion alone is not grounds for appeal. Complaints about how the journal handled a manuscript are dealt with under the Complaints Policy.
