Editing Peer Review Reports
Editors normally pass review reports to authors unchanged.
- Editors may remove offensive or personal comments, information that could identify the reviewer, or confidential remarks intended only for the editor.
- Editors do not change the substance of a reviewer's assessment or recommendation.
- If a report is unhelpful or inappropriate, the editor may set it aside and seek another review.
