Correction, Retraction & Withdrawal
INOTEKS keeps the scholarly record accurate. Published articles are never silently altered or removed; changes are made through linked, public notices.
| Notice | When it is used |
|---|---|
| Correction (erratum / corrigendum) | An error that does not change the main findings, made by the journal (erratum) or the authors (corrigendum). |
| Expression of concern | Serious doubts exist about the work, but evidence is inconclusive or an investigation is ongoing. |
| Retraction | Findings are unreliable, or there is plagiarism, duplicate publication, fabricated data, compromised peer review, or unethical research. |
| Withdrawal | Before acceptance, authors may withdraw a manuscript by writing to the editor. After acceptance, withdrawal requires a compelling reason and editor approval. Published articles cannot be withdrawn, only corrected or retracted. |
Retracted articles remain online, clearly watermarked "Retracted", with a linked retraction notice explaining the reason. Decisions follow the COPE Retraction Guidelines. To report a possible error, write to inotek@uny.ac.id.
