Reviewer Guidelines

Thank you for reviewing for INOTEKS. Please follow these guidelines and the COPE Ethical Guidelines for Peer Reviewers.

Before you accept

  • Accept only if you have the expertise and can submit within four weeks.
  • Declare any competing interest and decline if necessary (see Reviewer Competing Interests).

In your review

  • Assess originality, contribution to science, technology, or the arts, practical or social impact, use of sources, method, argument, and clarity.
  • Give specific, constructive comments that help the authors improve the work.
  • Be respectful; do not make personal remarks.
  • Do not try to identify the authors, and do not ask authors to cite your own work unless it is genuinely relevant.
  • Give the editor a recommendation: accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject.

Confidentiality and AI

Keep the manuscript confidential and do not contact the authors. Do not upload the manuscript or your report to generative AI tools (see AI in Peer Review). Students or colleagues may help only with the editor's prior permission, and their names must be given to the editor.
