INOTEKS uses the APA Style, 7th edition, for in-text citations and the reference list.

• Every in-text citation must appear in the reference list, and every reference must be cited in the text.
• Include a DOI, written as a full link (https://doi.org/…), for every source that has one.
• Primary sources in Arabic or other languages should be transliterated consistently and, where helpful, followed by an English translation in square brackets.
• Use recent, peer-reviewed sources wherever possible.

Reference managers

We strongly recommend a reference manager such as Zotero or Mendeley, with the APA 7th edition style selected. This prevents missing or mismatched citations, which are a common reason for returning manuscripts.
