Jurnal Sains Dasar (JSD) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes original research in the basic sciences — mathematics, chemistry, physics and biology. The journal welcomes theoretical, experimental and empirical work that offers clear novelty and scientific quality. Published since 2012 by the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, JSD appears twice a year, in April and October, with eight articles per issue.

All articles are freely available immediately upon publication under the CC BY-SA 4.0 license. Manuscripts are written in English (preferred) or Indonesian, prepared with the official JSD template and references in APA 7th style.
