JSD charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) only after a manuscript is accepted for publication. Submission and peer review are free of charge.

What the APC Covers
- Editorial handling and management of the review process.
- Copyediting, layout and proofreading.
- DOI registration with Crossref.
- Online hosting, indexing and long-term archiving.
Payment
- The APC is set by Rector's Decree of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta No. 116.2/UN34/I/2026.
- Payment instructions (bank account and invoice) are sent with the acceptance letter.
- Proof of payment must be uploaded or emailed to jsd@uny.ac.id within [14] days of acceptance.
- An official receipt is issued after payment is confirmed.
- Authors outside Indonesia may pay [by international transfer]; bank charges are borne by the author.
Waiver Policy
Authors who lack funds may request a full or partial waiver by explaining their situation in the comments to the editor at submission. Waiver requests are considered individually by the Editor-in-Chief, independently of the editorial decision.
Please note: Fees will not prevent the publication of worthy work. Payment status has no influence on editorial decisions, and the APC is non-refundable once the article is published. No fee is charged if a manuscript is rejected.
