Procedure

1

Report — Anyone may raise a concern confidentially with the Editor-in-Chief at jsd@uny.ac.id, with specific evidence.

2

Initial assessment — The editor assesses whether the concern is substantiated, without disclosing the whistleblower's identity.

3

Author response — The authors are informed of the concern and given [14] days to provide an explanation and supporting evidence (e.g., raw data).

4

Investigation — If the explanation is unsatisfactory, the editor contacts the authors' institution and requests an investigation.

5

Outcome — Depending on the findings: no action, correction, expression of concern, rejection or retraction.

Possible Sanctions

  • Rejection of the manuscript or retraction of the published article.
  • Publication of an expression of concern while an investigation is ongoing.
  • Notification of the authors' institution and funding agency.
  • A ban on future submissions from the authors for [3] years in serious cases.

Please note: The identity of whistleblowers is protected, and authors are given a fair opportunity to respond before any decision is made.
