Jurnal Sains Dasar (JSD) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes original research in the basic sciences. Published by the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, JSD welcomes theoretical, experimental and empirical work that offers novelty and scientific quality.

Pure and applied mathematics, statistics, mathematical modelling and computational mathematics.

Analytical, physical, organic, inorganic, environmental and materials chemistry, biochemistry and natural product chemistry.

Theoretical and computational physics, materials and condensed matter physics, optics and photonics, instrumentation, geophysics and medical physics.

Cell and molecular biology, microbiology, genetics, ecology, physiology, botany, zoology and biotechnology.
What We Publish
Reports and reviews on new methodologies, comprehensive assessments of existing methods, and applications to new type of problems are especially welcome. Experimental papers should relate their findings to theory, and theoretical papers should connect to present or future experiments.
Studies that apply routine methods or minor modifications are considered only when they report novel results on an important problem or provide significant new insight.
