Jurnal Sains Dasar (JSD) has been published by the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, since April 2012. The journal appears twice a year, in April and October.
JSD was first published in 2012 with p-ISSN 2085-9872. In 2014, the journal registered e-ISSN 2443-1273 and became an open-access journal. Articles are assigned DOIs with prefix 10.21831 through Crossref.
Since 2023, JSD has published eight articles in each issue and has limited its scope to theoretical, experimental and empirical research results.
