Post-Publication Discussions and Corrections

Efisiensi welcomes scholarly discussion of its published articles. This policy explains how readers can comment on or raise concerns about an article, and how the journal responds. Corrections and retractions follow the Correction and Retraction policy.

1. Forms of Discussion

  • Letters to the editor: short, evidence-based comments on a published article (up to 1,000 words). Accepted letters are published with a reply from the authors where possible.
  • Comments by email: questions about methods, data, or interpretation, which the editor may pass to the authors.
  • Concerns about integrity: reports of possible errors, plagiarism, data problems, or other misconduct (see Section 3).

2. Requirements for Comments

  • Comments must concern the scholarly content of the article and be respectful.
  • They must give reasons and evidence, and name the article by title and DOI.
  • The writer must give their name and affiliation. Anonymous comments are considered only when they raise integrity concerns with clear evidence.
  • Personal attacks, defamatory statements, and commercial promotion are not accepted.

3. Procedure

  1. Send the letter, comment, or concern to efisiensi@uny.ac.id, with the subject “Post-publication comment”.
  2. The editor acknowledges receipt within 7 days and assesses the submission.
  3. Letters suitable for publication are sent to the authors, who may reply within 30 days. The letter and reply are reviewed by the editor and published together, linked to the original article.
  4. If the comment shows an error or possible misconduct, the editor follows the Correction and Retraction policy or the Research Misconduct policy.
  5. The person who raised the comment is told the outcome.
