Efisiensi: Kajian Ilmu Administrasi is an open-access journal. Readers pay nothing. To cover the cost of editorial management and publication, authors of accepted articles pay an article processing charge (APC). Payment of the APC never influences editorial decisions.

1. Fees

2. What the APC Covers

• Editorial management in OJS and peer review coordination.
• Similarity checking with Turnitin.
• Copyediting, layout, and proofreading.
• DOI registration with Crossref and long-term preservation.
• Open-access hosting and indexing of the article.

3. When and How to Pay

• The journal sends an invoice by email from efisiensi@uny.ac.id after the acceptance decision.
• Payment is made by bank transfer to the official account named in the invoice within 14 days. The journal never asks for payment before acceptance or to a personal account.
• Authors upload the proof of payment in OJS or send it by email. A receipt is issued on request.

4. Waivers

• Authors without research funding, students, and authors from low-income countries may request a full or partial waiver in the comments to the editor at submission.
• Waiver requests are decided by the managing team, separately from the editorial process. Reviewers and handling editors are not told whether a waiver was requested.

5. Editorial Independence and Refunds

• Acceptance is based only on peer review and the editor's judgement.
• If an accepted article cannot be published for reasons on the journal's side, the APC is refunded in full.
• No refund is made after publication, or if an article is retracted because of misconduct.
