Transformation local wisdom values through Merdeka Belajar principle in Buru Island community
The purpose of this research is to highlight the importance of local wisdom values and the preservation of regional culture, which has a good impact on the sustainability of the next generation through the Merdeka Belajar principle. The method used is a case study with a qualitative approach. This research uses interview guidelines, documentation and observation. Analysis techniques include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study found that the content of cultural values in regional dances, poems/folk tales (inafuka), and folk songs (kalabae) has important teachings in it such as; Tolerance, politeness, ethics, prohibitions, history, brotherhood, unity, struggle, fairness, wisdom, to the preservation of customary territories. These values are very relevant to the lives of the people of Buru Island. In addition to implementing regional culture, every child should also be able to apply the values of local wisdom contained therein.
