Jurnal Kependidikan is an open scientific forum for educational researchers,scholars and practitioners. This open access journal publishes articles related to the research results in the field of education. The journal seeks to digest innovations, issues and trends in educational practice theory and policy. It also encourages a wide range of methodological approaches to  understand the field of education from different perspective.  

Jurnal Kependidikan is formerly known as Jurnal IKIP Yogyakarta and Jurnal Kependidikan: Jurnal Ilmiah Penelitian Pendidikan, published since 1980 with ISSN: 0125-992X. This journal has been accredited by DIKTI in 2001, 2015, 2019 with Decree No. 118 / DIKTI / Kep / 2001 on May 9, 2001; Number 12 / M / Kp / II / 2015 on February 11, 2015; and Number 35/E/KPT/2019 on december 13, 2019 Jurnal Kependidikan published by Institute of Research and Community Service, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta in collaboration with the Indonesian Education Research Society (MPPI) since 2012.
