REPORTING GUIDELINES AND REGISTRATION

Policy

Ethnomathematics Journal asks authors to report their research clearly and completely, using the reporting guideline that fits the study design where one exists.

Reporting guidelines

Authors are encouraged to follow a recognised guideline and to state which one they used in the Method section. Examples include:

Randomised or controlled studies CONSORT
Systematic reviews and meta-analyses PRISMA
Qualitative interviews and focus groups COREQ
Qualitative research in general SRQR
Observational studies STROBE

If no guideline fits, describe the design and the steps in enough detail for a reader to understand and assess the work.

Registration

Where a study design is normally registered, for example a trial or a systematic review, authors should give the registration number and the name of the registry. If a study was not registered, the authors should say so.

Checks

The editors and reviewers may ask authors to complete a checklist or to add missing information. Selective or misleading reporting is a matter of publication ethics. See Publication Ethics and the Research Data and Reproducibility policy.
