Journal History

Ethnomathematics Journal was established in 2020 by mathematics education lecturers at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, in collaboration with the Ethnomath Association.

Milestones

2020 The journal is established, and its first issue is published in March 2020.
2021 The journal begins to publish twice a year.
2024 The journal receives national accreditation from the Ministry of Higher Education.

Language

In its early years the journal accepted manuscripts in Bahasa Indonesia. After its editorial and managerial board was strengthened, it began to publish articles in English, to reach a wider international readership.

Goals

The journal works toward international recognition, higher publication quality, global collaboration, and inclusion in reputable international indexing databases.

Today

The journal appears twice a year, in March and September. Published issues are in the Archives, and the newest issue is under Current. See also About the Journal and the Editorial Team.
