Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

Author Guidelines

A. THE MANUSCRIPTS

The manuscript should be an original research paper that sufficiently contributes novelty to ethnomathematics. Authors are requested to submit their papers electronically by using the Ethnomathematics Journal online submission procedure. The corresponding author should also provide a statement that the manuscript is not concurrently being under consideration for publication elsewhere. The author must read our Publication Ethics and the Author Guidelines before submission. The Editors will ignore submissions that do not follow these procedures.

Taking into account the results of the peer-reviewing process, the decision as to the acceptability of each manuscript for publication will be notified to the author(s) through the website system in the following alternative conclusions:
a. Accepted without revision, or
b. Accepted with minor revision, or
c. Accepted with major revision, or
d. Rejected.

B. GENERAL INSTRUCTION

The minimum standard requirements of the Ethnomathematics Journal (EJ) must be:

  1. Written in academic English.
  2. The submitted article consists of 4,500 and 7,000 words in length.
  3. The article must include abstract in English (150-200 words) and be following by the keywords (3-5 words).
  4. Use of a tool such as Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote for reference management and formatting. The citation must be in the form of in-text and bibliography are based on APA 7th Edition (American Psychological Association)
  5. Make sure that your paper is prepared using the Author Guidelines

C. SECTIONS OF ARTICLE

The manuscript must be prepared and suggested present follow the structure:

  1. Title. The title of article in english, brief and concise, articulating contents.
  2. Abstract. The Abstract has 150 to 200 WORDSNo citation; The abstract consists of a statement about the background, objective of the study or focus of discussion, method or important research steps, findings and discussion, and conclusion.
  3. Section structure. Authors are suggested to present their articles in the section structure: Introduction Method - Results and Discussion – Conclusion - Acknowledgment (optional)- Reference - Appendix (optional).
  4. References. Expect a minimum of 15 references primarily with a minimum of 85% from reputable journal papers with their DOI or URLs.
  5. The manuscript should be checked and edited by an Professional English Language Editor (Proofreader).
