Open to every qualified voice.
How the journal supports accessibility, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
01Commitment▾
Jurnal Civics welcomes manuscripts from authors of any nationality, gender, ethnicity, religion, disability, career stage, or institution. Editorial decisions are based on scholarly merit only.
02Editorial board and reviewers▾
—  The journal aims for a balanced editorial board and reviewer pool across countries, institutions, and genders, and reviews this balance when the board is renewed.
—  Early-career researchers may be invited to review alongside experienced reviewers.
03Inclusive language▾
—  Authors should use inclusive, respectful language and avoid stereotypes about any group.
—  Terms for communities and identities should follow the way those groups describe themselves.
04Accessibility▾
—  Articles are published as open-access PDF and HTML with machine-readable metadata.
—  Authors provide alternative text (short descriptions) for figures, and tables as text rather than images.
—  The website uses HTTPS and readable contrast; readers who have trouble accessing content can write to journalcivics@uny.ac.id.
