Templates, files to submit, and how to use them.
Policy update · effective from 2027
These revised templates apply to manuscripts published from Volume 24, No. 1 (March 2027) onward. Manuscripts for issues up to Volume 23 (2026) used the previous templates.
01Original research article▾
Empirical studies using qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods. 5,000–8,000 words. Structure: Introduction (with the theoretical framework), Method, Results and Discussion, Conclusion.
02Systematic literature review▾
Reviews reported in line with PRISMA 2020. 5,000–8,000 words. A completed PRISMA 2020 checklist is submitted as a supplementary file.
03Book review▾
Critical reviews of scholarly books published in the last three years. 1,000–1,500 words. Contact the Book Review Editor before writing.
04Which files to submit▾
—  Research articles and systematic reviews use double-anonymous review. Submit the anonymised manuscript and the title page (the manuscript with author details). Systematic reviews also need the PRISMA checklist.
—  Book reviews need only one file.
05Using the templates▾
1.  Choose the template that matches your article type and download the required files.
2.  Follow the guidance in the blue boxes, then delete those boxes.
3.  Replace the yellow placeholders with your own content and remove the highlighting.
4.  Use the built-in styles (Heading 1, 2, 3 for headings; Normal for body text). Do not change fonts, margins, or spacing by hand.
5.  Write in English with British spelling. Cite and list references in APA 7th edition.
6.  Complete every end-matter statement: disclosure, funding, data availability, ethics approval and informed consent, and generative AI use.
7.  In the anonymised file, remove names, affiliations, acknowledgements, ORCID iDs, and self-identifying citations, and clear the file properties before uploading.
8.  Check the pre-submission checklist in the Author Guidelines, then submit through OJS.
Manuscripts that do not use the correct template are returned without review.
