Post-Publication Policy
Jurnal Penelitian Ilmu Pendidikan (JPIP) is committed to maintaining the integrity, transparency, and reliability of the scholarly record after publication.
1. Post-Publication Discussion
JPIP recognizes the importance of scholarly discussion and constructive criticism following the publication of research articles.
Authors, readers, reviewers, and researchers may raise concerns or provide evidence-based comments regarding published articles, including their methodology, findings, interpretations, and research integrity.
2. Reporting Post-Publication Concerns
Concerns regarding published articles may be submitted to the editorial office through the journal's official contact email: jpipfip@uny.ac.id.
Reports should identify the relevant article, clearly describe the concern, and provide supporting evidence where available.
3. Editorial Assessment
The editorial team should evaluate reported concerns objectively, fairly, and confidentially where appropriate.
Authors should be given an opportunity to respond to substantial concerns. Independent expert advice may be sought when necessary.
4. Post-Publication Actions
Depending on the nature and severity of identified issues, appropriate editorial actions may include:
-
Providing clarification regarding published content.
-
Publishing corrections to address errors.
-
Issuing an expression of concern when serious issues remain unresolved.
-
Retracting articles when their findings are unreliable or serious ethical violations are confirmed.
Such actions should follow the journal's approved editorial policies and relevant publication ethics guidelines.
5. Transparency and Scholarly Integrity
Substantive changes to published articles should be documented transparently to preserve the scholarly record.
Post-publication discussions and editorial actions should aim to improve the accuracy, credibility, and reliability of published research.
6. Related Policies
This policy should be read alongside JPIP's Publication Ethics, Research Misconduct Policy, and Correction & Retraction Policy.
