Plagiarism Policy

Jurnal Penelitian Ilmu Pendidikan (JPIP) is committed to maintaining academic integrity and ensuring the originality of all manuscripts submitted for publication. The journal does not tolerate plagiarism, self-plagiarism, or unethical reuse of previously published materials.

1. Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism includes presenting another person's ideas, words, research findings, data, or other intellectual contributions as one's own without proper acknowledgment. It also includes inappropriate text recycling, unattributed paraphrasing, and unauthorized reuse of published materials.

2. Plagiarism Screening

JPIP conducts similarity checks using Turnitin or equivalent plagiarism-detection software as part of its publication quality assurance process.

Similarity reports are evaluated in context. A similarity score alone does not establish whether plagiarism has occurred. Editors consider the nature, extent, and attribution of overlapping content.

3. Responsibilities of Authors

Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts are original, appropriately cite all sources, and disclose any relevant overlap with their previously published work.

Authors must also comply with the originality and plagiarism-free declarations required by JPIP.

4. Handling Suspected Plagiarism

When potential plagiarism is identified, the editorial team may examine the relevant evidence and request clarification from the authors.

Depending on the findings and the journal's approved editorial procedures, manuscripts may require revision or be rejected. Concerns involving published articles may be handled through appropriate post-publication procedures.

5. Publication Ethics

This policy should be read together with JPIP's Publication Ethics and Author Guidelines.
