⌚ Journal History

Jurnal Penelitian Saintek has served for many years as a forum for research in the sciences and engineering at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, and the journal is now in its thirty-first volume. It began in print under ISSN 1412-3991 and later moved to online publication under e-ISSN 2528-7036, adopting Open Journal Systems for the full editorial workflow, double-blind peer review, DOI registration with Crossref, and immediate open access.

◯ Open Access and Copyright

JPS is an open-access journal: every article is freely available in full text from the moment of publication, without subscription, registration, or payment, on the principle that making research freely available supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International Licence (CC BY-SA 4.0), which allows anyone to share and adapt the work, including for commercial purposes, provided the author and the original publication in this journal are credited and any derivative work is distributed under the same licence. Authors may deposit the published version in a repository or on their own website without embargo. Full terms are on the Copyright Notice page.

↻ Peer Review

Every manuscript is screened by the editors and then assessed through double-blind peer review, in which the identities of the authors and the reviewers are concealed from each other. The process follows the Core Practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), and the final decision rests with the editorial board. ▣ Archiving

Every issue the journal has published remains available in full text through the journal's archives, and the journal is hosted and maintained by Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, which provides the platform, regular backups, and technical continuity. Articles are not removed after publication; where a correction is needed, a notice is published and remains permanently linked to the original article.

The journal also participates in CLOCKSS, which creates a distributed archive across participating libraries worldwide. It is a dark archive: its copies are not browsed directly by readers, but are held ready so that the content can be restored and made openly available again if this website ever becomes unavailable.

⌂ Publisher and Sponsorship

JPS is published and funded by Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, which provides the editorial office, the publishing platform, and technical support. The journal carries no advertising and accepts no commercial sponsorship, and editorial decisions are made independently of the publisher and of any funding body. Any charge applied to authors is stated on the Author Fees page.
