Preprint Policy
Policy
Diklus: Jurnal Pendidikan Luar Sekolah allows authors to post a preprint of their manuscript. Posting a preprint is not prior publication, and it does not stop the manuscript from being considered. The journal follows the COPE guidance on preprints.
What authors may do
- Post the submitted version (the preprint) on a preprint server or in a repository, before or during review.
- Post later versions in a repository, with no embargo.
- Share the preprint with colleagues.
What authors must do
- Tell the editor at submission that a preprint exists, and give its link or DOI.
- Keep the preprint blind to the review process if it is posted during review, and do not name the journal in a way that identifies the manuscript to reviewers.
- After acceptance, add a link from the preprint to the published article and cite the published article.
Review and publication
- A preprint is not peer reviewed. Only the article published in the journal has been through the Peer Review Process.
- The editors do not use the comments on a preprint as a substitute for peer review.
- Preprints are checked for similarity as part of the usual checks. See Plagiarism Policy.
