Institutional Cooperation
Policy
Diklus: Jurnal Pendidikan Luar Sekolah works with the institutions of authors, reviewers, and editors when there are serious concerns about the integrity of research or of publication. This follows the COPE guidance on cooperation between journals and research institutions.
When the journal contacts an institution
- When there is evidence of possible research misconduct, such as fabrication, falsification, or plagiarism, that the journal cannot resolve with the authors. See Research Misconduct.
- When authors disagree about authorship and cannot settle it. See Authorship Changes and Disputes.
- When there are concerns about ethical approval or consent. See the Ethical Clearance Statement.
How the journal cooperates
- The editors share the relevant information with the responsible office of the institution, such as the research integrity office, and only as far as needed.
- The editors do not judge whether an individual has committed misconduct. They wait for the findings of the institution, and then act on the published record.
- The journal responds to requests from institutions that are investigating work published in the journal, and provides the relevant records. See Records and Data Retention.
Outcomes
Depending on the findings, the journal may publish a correction, an expression of concern, or a retraction. See Correction, Retraction and Withdrawal.
