Post-Publication Discussion
Jurnal Inovasi Teknologi Pendidikan (JITP) welcomes scholarly discussion of its published articles. This policy follows COPE guidance and should be read with our Publication Ethics, Allegation of Research Misconduct, and Correction, Withdrawal, and Retraction policies.
Submitting a comment. Email the editorial office at teknodik@uny.ac.id with the subject “Post-publication comment”, the article’s title or DOI, and your name, affiliation, and contact details.
Requirements. A comment must address the article’s content, make a substantive academic contribution, be supported by evidence and citations, and be professional and respectful, without personal attacks, defamatory statements, or promotion. Commenters must disclose any interest that could affect the comment.
Editorial handling. The editors assess whether the comment is suitable and whether it concerns interpretation, a possible error, or a possible ethical problem. Suitable comments are sent to the corresponding author, who is invited to respond. Where appropriate, the comment and the response are published together and linked to the original article. The journal may decline comments that do not meet this policy. An editor with a conflict of interest does not handle the exchange.
When a problem is found. If the discussion reveals an error, omission, or ethical concern affecting an article’s integrity, the editors act under the journal’s other policies. The outcome may be a correction, an expression of concern, or a retraction.
Limits of this process. Post-publication discussion is an academic forum. It does not replace the formal procedure for suspected misconduct. Concerns about fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, or similar problems should be reported under the Allegation of Research Misconduct policy and are handled confidentially.
Records. The editorial office keeps a record of comments received and the action taken.
