Plagiarism Policy
Plagiarism Policy
The Jurnal Ekonomi dan Pendidikan (JEP) is committed to maintaining academic integrity and publication ethics. All submitted manuscripts must be original, free from plagiarism, and properly acknowledge the ideas, data, and works of other authors through appropriate citations and references. Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their manuscripts before submission.
All submitted manuscripts may be screened by the editorial team using similarity-checking software, such as Turnitin, during the initial editorial assessment and before publication.
Editorial Action on Plagiarism
If potential plagiarism is identified by editors, reviewers, or editorial staff at any stage of the publication process—including before or after acceptance, during copyediting, or at the proofreading stage—the editorial team will evaluate the case in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policy.
Minor Cases
For inadequate paraphrasing, missing citations, or improperly quoted text, authors may be asked to revise the manuscript, provide appropriate citations, and acknowledge the original sources.
Serious Cases
Substantial unattributed use of another author's work may result in manuscript rejection.
Cases After Publication
If plagiarism is discovered after publication, the journal may issue a correction or retract the article, depending on the severity of the case. The author's institution may also be notified when warranted.
Authors' Responsibility
Authors are strongly encouraged to use plagiarism-checking software before submission. However, the use of such software does not replace their responsibility to ensure that their manuscripts comply with academic integrity standards.
