The Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Policy on the Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Jurnal Pendidikan Anak • Governance Assessment (Criterion C.3) & COPE Core Practices
Jurnal Pendidikan Anak (JPA) establishes this formal policy regarding the transparent and ethical application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and AI-assisted technologies throughout the scholarly publishing lifecycle. This policy applies strictly to Authors, the Editorial Team, and Peer Reviewers to ensure research integrity, originality, peer-review confidentiality, and human accountability.
1. AI Use and Disclosure by Authors
- Non-Authorship Status: Generative AI models and Large Language Models (LLMs such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) do not meet authorship criteria and cannot be listed as an author or co-author. AI tools lack legal personhood, cannot approve final publication agreements, and cannot assume scholarly or ethical accountability.
- Mandatory Disclosure: Authors who employ generative AI or AI-assisted tools for conceptualization, drafting, data analysis, coding, or translation must disclose such use explicitly within a dedicated section before the references titled "Declaration of Generative AI and AI-Assisted Technologies".
- Absolute Author Accountability: Authors bear full responsibility for intellectual originality, factual precision, valid citations, and the avoidance of plagiarism. Fabricated rujukan, citation hallucinations, or manipulated findings resulting from AI assistance constitute severe research misconduct (falsification/fabrication).
"During the preparation of this work, the author(s) utilized [Tool Name, Version] to [specify purpose, e.g., enhance grammatical clarity / assist with data restructuring]. The author(s) reviewed and edited all outputs independently and take full scholarly responsibility for the integrity and content of this publication."
