Aims and Scope
Jurnal Pendidikan Vokasi aims to serve as a leading international platform for the dissemination of innovative and high-quality research in the field of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). The journal promotes the advancement of knowledge, theories, policies, and practices that contribute to the development of vocational education across diverse industrial sectors. By publishing rigorous empirical research, the journal seeks to enhance workforce competencies, strengthen evidence-based educational policy and practice, and support sustainable human resource development. It also aspires to become a trusted reference for researchers, educators, practitioners, policymakers, and other stakeholders engaged in vocational education and training worldwide.
The journal welcomes original empirical research within, but not limited to, the following areas:

2. Teaching and Learning in TVET:

The journal welcomes submissions from researchers, educators, practitioners, and policymakers whose work contributes to the advancement of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). Manuscripts employing quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods empirical research designs are encouraged, provided that they present original findings, demonstrate methodological rigor, and make a meaningful contribution to vocational education research and practice.
Editorial Policy (Effective from Volume 16, 2026)
Effective from Volume 16 (2026), Jurnal Pendidikan Vokasi only considers original empirical research articles for publication. Accepted manuscript types include, but are not limited to:
- Field research
- Experimental and quasi-experimental research
- Survey research
- Case studies based on primary empirical data
- Research and Development (R&D) with empirical validation
- Program evaluation
- Action research
- Design-based research
- Other empirical studies employing rigorous scientific methods
Research and Development (R&D) studies will only be considered when they include empirical validation through field testing, implementation, or evaluation.
The following manuscript types are outside the journal's scope and will not be considered for publication:
- Systematic Literature Reviews (SLRs)
- Scoping Reviews
- Bibliometric Studies
- Narrative Reviews
- Conceptual Papers
- Opinion Papers
- Essays without empirical evidence
All submitted manuscripts must present original empirical data, demonstrate methodological rigor, comply with ethical standards in research and publication, and make a clear contribution to the advancement of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
Manuscripts that do not comply with this editorial policy may be declined during the initial editorial screening without being sent for external peer review.
