This research examines character education based on religious moderation in Indonesia, a country with high religious and cultural diversity. The background of this research is the gap between the ideal of a harmonious religious life and the reality of conflicts that often occur due to a lack of understanding of religious moderation. The purpose of this study is to identify the implementation of character education based on religious moderation in educational institutions, the challenges faced, and the solutions that can be applied. The research method uses a qualitative literature review approach by analysing various academic sources such as journals, policy documents, books and official reports. The research findings reveal the importance of character education in shaping a good personality and religious moderation in creating inter-religious harmony. The research also identified various challenges in implementation, such as the lack of teacher training and limited resources. The implication is the need for collaborative efforts between the government, educational institutions and the community to support the effective implementation of character education based on religious moderation, to strengthen the values of tolerance and unity among Indonesia's young generation. This research is expected to make a real contribution to the development of a character education model based on religious moderation in Indonesia.
