PENGEMBANGAN INSTRUMEN PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER PADA SISWA SD DI PROVINSI SULAWESI UTARA

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyusun instrumen pendidikan karakter bagi siswa SD. Un- tuk menyusun instrumen dan buku tentang pendidikan karakter, perlu dilakukan studi yang kom- prehensif tentang pendidikan karakter yang dilakukan guru di SD. Temuan ini akan membantu siswa SD untuk memiliki karakter sesuai dengan norma-norma yang berlaku. Penelitian ini merupakan pe- nelitian pengembangan yang dirancang dalam dua tahap. Pada tahap satu penelitian ini untuk meng- indentifikasi pendidikan karakter yang dilakukan pada siswa SD. Penentuan lokasi penelitian diten- tukan secara purposive pada SD, baik negeri maupun swasta di wilayah provinsi Sulawesi Utara. Tek- nik pengumpulan data dengan observasi partisipasi, FGD, angket, dan wawancara. Data yang diper- oleh kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan kategori. Hasil penelitian tahap pertama sebagai be- rikut. (1) Pembentukan karakter siswa SD termasuk dalam 3 kategori yaitu sangat baik, baik, dan kurang baik. (2) Pada umumnya, pendidikan karakter diajarkan pada siswa tidak secara tersendiri, namun termasuk dalam mata pelajaran tertentu seperti IPS dan PKn. (3) Materi pendidikan karakter diajarkan pada siswa jika ada topik tertentu dalam mata pelajaran tersebut yang ada kaitannya. (4) Sekolah telah menerapkan aturan tertentu dan siswa harus mengikutinya seperti peraturan dan tata tertib sekolah. Kata Kunci: instrumen, pendidikan karakter, dan siswa SD
