DEVELOPING THEMATIC INTEGRATED TEACHING MATERIALS BASED ON LOCAL WISDOM TO IMPROVE CARE AND RESPONSSIBILITY
Abstract This study aim to (1) produce a thematic integrated teaching materials based on local wisdom that is feasible to improve care and responssibility character and (2) find out the effectiveness of the integrated thematic teaching materials based on local wisdom to improve care and responssibility character.This study is a research and development according to the opinion of Borg & Gall. The testing subject were grade IV students of MIN Jejeran, Pleret, Bantul. The result of expert's evaluation shows that the teaching materials which have been developed are feasible.The result show that the teaching materials is effective to improve care and responssibility character of students. Based on paired t-test for the care character in experiment class 1 gained sig 0.00 and in experiment class 2 gained sig 0.00. The responssibilty character in experiment class 1 gained 0.00 and experiment class 2 gained sig 0.00. The result show that there are significant differences in care and responssibility character of students before and after learning by using integrated thematic teaching materials based on local wisdom.
