Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) untuk menghasilkan model aktivitas jasmani berbasis alam sekitar untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan naturalis siswa Sekolah Dasar dan (2) mengetahui efektivitas model yang dikembangkan. Penelitian pengembangan ini dilakukan dengan langkah-langkah yang meliputi: (1) pengumpulan informasi di lapangan, (2) melakukan analisis terhadap informasi yang telah dikumpulkan, (3) pengembangan produk awal (draf model), (4) validasi ahli dan revisi, (5) uji coba lapangan skala kecil dan revisi, (6) uji coba skala besar dan revisi, dan (7) pembuatan produk final. Uji coba skala kecil dilakukan terhadap siswa kelas 2 dari SD Jomblangan Banguntapan Bantul yang berjumlah 32 siswa. Uji coba skala besar dilakukan terhadap siswa kelas 1 SD Wiyoro banguntapan Bantul yang berjumlah 30 siswa dan siswa kelas 3 SD Banguntapan Bantul yang berjumlah 31 siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui: (1) wawancara, (2) observasi model, dan (3) observasi keefektifan model. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu berupa model pembelajaran yang didokumentasikan dalam bentuk VCD dan dilengkapi dalam dengan buku panduan. Model aktivitas jasmani berbasis alam sekitar berisikan empat model permainan, yaitu: (1) tanggap gempa, (2) jelajah alam, (3) pilah sampah, dan (4) meniru hewan. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian dari para ahli, dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa model aktivitas jasmani berbasis alam sekitar layak dan efektif digunakan untuk pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani di SD kelas bawah.

 

Model of physical activities based on the surrounding nature to improve students' naturalistic intelligence

 

Abstract

This study aimed to: (1) produce a model of physical activities based on the surrounding nature to improve elementary school students' naturalistic intelligence and (2) find out the effectiveness of the developed model. This research and development performed by steps that include: (1) collection of information in the field, (2) an analysis of the collected information, (3) preliminary product (model draft) development, (4) expert validation and revision, (5) a small-scale field tryout and revision, (6) a large-scale tryout and revision, and (7) final product making. The small-scale tryout involved Grade 2 students of SD Jomblangan, Banguntapan, Bantul, with a total of 32 students. The large-scale tryout involved Grade 1 students of SD Wiyoro, Banguntapan, Bantul, with a total of 30 students and Grade 3 students of SD Banguntapan, Bantul, with a total of 31 students. The data were collected throught: (1) an interview, (2) a model observation, and (3) a model effectiveness observation. The data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results of the study are a learning the model that is documented in the form of VCD with a guidebook. The model of physical activities based on the surrounding nature consists of four models of games, namely: (1) responsiveness to earthquake, (2) exploration of nature, (3) garbage sorting, and (4) animal imitating. Based on the assessment by the experts, it can be concluded that the model of physical activities based on the surrounding nature is appropriate to be used for the physical education learning at the lower grades of the elementary school.
