Critical thinking is a vital skill for students to succeed in various aspects of life. However, students often demonstrate low levels of critical thinking, largely due to instructional methods that do not effectively foster higher-order thinking activities. This study aims to develop an interactive learning media integrating Socio-Scientific Issues (SSI) through the use of Articulate Storyline, designed to be valid, practical, and effective in enhancing students’ critical thinking skills. The research follows a Research and Development (R&D) methodology, employing the ADDIE model, which comprises the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Participants in the study included 34 students from class XI-1 and 33 students from class XI-4 at SMAN 1 Alalak, with an average age of 15 to 16 years. Data collection utilized several instruments: validation sheets to assess content validity, questionnaires and observation sheets to evaluate practicality, and critical thinking tests to measure effectiveness. Findings indicate that the developed media fulfills the following criteria: (1) it is valid, with a validation score of 0.97; (2) highly practical, achieving a score of 4.33; and (3) effective, demonstrated by an N-gain score of 0.77 in students' critical thinking performance. Therefore, the interactive learning media is considered suitable for use in teaching chemical bonding concepts, particularly to support the improvement of students’ critical thinking skills.
