The journal is not owned by, and does not operate on behalf of, any commercial publisher. Any change of title, ownership, or ISSN would be announced publicly and notified to the ISSN centre, to Crossref, and to the services that index the journal.

2. Governance

Body Responsibility
Publisher (UNY, through the Faculty of Economics and Business) Appoints the Editor-in-Chief, provides funding and infrastructure, approves journal policy, and guarantees editorial independence.
Editor-in-Chief Holds final responsibility for content and for every editorial decision; sets policy; appoints and leads the editorial team; answers complaints.
Managing Editor Runs daily operations, the OJS workflow, production schedule, and DOI registration.
Section Editors Handle manuscripts within their subject areas and recommend decisions.
Editorial Board Advises on scope, policy, and quality; handles manuscripts and appeals.
Technical team Copyediting, layout, proofreading, and OJS administration.

3. Appointments

The Editor-in-Chief is appointed by the publisher for a four-year term, renewable once. Section editors and editorial board members are appointed by the Editor-in-Chief for renewable three-year terms, on the basis of expertise, publication record, and commitment. Composition is reviewed at least every two years for activity and for institutional and geographic diversity. Every member consents in writing to being listed, and all editors declare conflicts of interest annually.

4. Editorial independence

Editorial decisions rest with the editors alone and are based on scholarly merit, fit with scope, and peer review. The university, funders, advertisers, and any other party have no influence over the handling of an individual manuscript. Submissions from the publisher's own staff and students receive no preferential treatment and pass through the same double-anonymous review. The journal monitors the proportion of articles authored by members of its own institution and by its own editors, so as not to become an in-house outlet. Income from Article Processing Charges is administered separately from editorial decision-making.

5. Finance

The journal is funded by Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta together with an Article Processing Charge of IDR 500,000 payable only after acceptance. Fees and waiver conditions are published in full before submission. The journal carries no advertising and publishes no sponsored content; were this to change, it would require a separate published policy preserving editorial independence.

6. Operations

The journal runs on Open Journal Systems hosted by Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, which records every submission, review, and decision. Target timelines are screening within 7 days, a first decision in about 6 weeks, and a final decision within 4 months. Quality assurance covers similarity checking within the stated thresholds, mandatory templates, copyediting, proofreading, and Crossref DOI registration. Content is preserved as set out in the Archiving Policy. Editorial and review records are kept confidential for at least five years. All policies are reviewed at least every two years, and each page shows the date of its last revision.

A complaint concerning the Editor-in-Chief is directed to a senior member of the editorial board or to the Head of the Department of Management as publisher representative. Complaints that remain unresolved may be referred to COPE.
