Abstract
Enjoyment construction: conceptual basics of psychological scale development
Abstract
Fun or enjoyment includes a hypothetical construct that plays a crucial role in physical and sports activities, including in physical education class activities. Enjoyment is one of the critical factors that represents a positive attitude toward physical activity and sports training. Enjoyment can function as a mediator and predictor of the participation of individual physical activity and sports activities and positively correlates with several psychological variables, such as motivation, commitment, consistency, and others. The measurement in a research constellation needs to be designed in such a way, especially to develop and validate instruments, including considering demographic variables, such as age level, gender, length of participation, and others.
