Analisis keterampilan motorik kasar dan tingkat kebugaran jasmani siswa sekolah dasar di kota Bandung berdasarkan ekstrakulikuler

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterampilan motorik kasar dan tingkat kebugaran siswa sekolah dasar di Kota Bandung berdasarkan partisipasi ekstrakurikuler. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan sampel 120 siswa kelas IV-VI dari empat sekolah dasar yang dipilih secara cluster sampling . Instrumen penelitian meliputi Tes Keterampilan Motorik Kasar ( Tes Perkembangan Motorik Kasar-2/TGMD-2 ) dan Tes Kebugaran Jasmani Siswa Indonesia (TKSI). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa 13% siswa berada pada kategori unggul dan 38% di atas rata-rata untuk keterampilan motorik kasar, sedangkan 63% siswa laki-laki dan 52% perempuan masuk kategori baik untuk kebugaran fisik. Uji statistik mengungkapkan perbedaan signifikan antara siswa yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuler olahraga dan non-olahraga, dengan kelompok ekstrakurikuler olahraga menunjukkan nilai rata-rata lebih tinggi. Simpulan penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya partisipasi ekstrakurikuler berbasis aktivitas fisik dalam meningkatkan keterampilan motorik kasar dan kebugaran siswa. Temuan ini merekomendasikan sekolah untuk mengoptimalkan program ekstrakurikuler yang mendukung perkembangan fisik holistik.
This study aims to examine the gross motor skills and physical fitness levels of elementary school students in Bandung City based on their participation in extracurricular activities. The research employed a quantitative descriptive approach with a sample of 120 students from grades IV to VI across four elementary schools selected through cluster sampling. The research instruments included the Test of Gross Motor Development-2 (TGMD-2) and the Indonesian Student Physical Fitness Test (TKSI). Analysis results showed that 13% of students were categorized as excellent and 38% above average in gross motor skills, while for physical fitness, 5% were classified as very good, 57% as good, and 37% as moderate. Statistical tests revealed significant differences between students participating in sports extracurricular activities and those in non-sports activities, with the sports group demonstrating higher average scores. The study concludes by emphasizing the importance of participation in physical activity-based extracurricular programs to enhance students’ gross motor skills and physical fitness. These findings recommend schools optimize extracurricular programs that support holistic physical development.
