Abstract

Abstract: Fundamental movements are the foundation for children's future physical activity. The aim of this study was to analyze and compare fundamental movement skills. Research on the fundamental movement skills of kindergarten children in terms of knowledge of the play environment is very limited. This study used cross-sectional research to compare the fundamental movement skills of children attending Melati Kindergarten located in Cimarga District, Lebak Regency. Group one has access to a traditional playground, group two has access to a nature-based playground. Instruments used in this research Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency, second edition (BOT-2). A total of 29 children took part in this study, 14 children took part in a group to a traditional playground, and 15 children took a group to a nature-based playground. Children had access to traditional playgrounds (total test 13.92), while children had access to nature-based playgrounds (total test 16.04). The statistical results between the total group tests and individual tests were no significant differences.
