Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi program, bentuk kemitraan yang dilakukan LSM, pemberdayaan ekonomi yang terjadi, dan bentuk-bentuk pengembangan dalam rangka keberlanjutan pada program Sekolah Lapangan  Kakao yang terjadi di kampung Kalifam. Penelitian menggunakan metode studi kasus, dengan pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara kepada informan bersifat purposive sampling yakni peserta program yang adalah tokoh adat dan tokoh masyarakat, perwakilan LSM, dan mitra yang terlibat dalam program. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi program, mulai dari tujuan, proses dan hasil kegiatan dinilai baik; proses kemitraan juga yang dilakukan mendapat penilaian yang baik dari pihak-pihak yang terlibat yaitu LSM sebagai inisiator program, unsur-unsur masyarakat sebagai peserta program, gereja selaku motivator masyarakat dan Petugas Penyuluh Lapangan (PPL) selaku fasilitator; pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat belum sepenuhnya terjadi walaupun masyarakat telah berdaya di level pengetahuan dan keterampilan budidaya kakao; pengembangan program yang diharapkan mulai dari komitmen peserta terhadap keterampilan, proses pendampingan, kebun percontohan, dan pelatihan teknologi pengolahan hasil.

 

Nongovernment organization's partnership as part of economic empowerment on cacao's farmer's field school

 

Abstract

The study aims to describe the implementation of the program, forms of partnership done by NGO, the economic empowerment, and other forms of development in the context of sustainability at Cocoa's Farmer's Field School program that took place in the Kalifam village. This qualitative research used the case study method; with data collection used the interview to the informant with the purposive sampling characteristic which are program's participants: traditional and community leader, NGO's representatives, and partners involved in the program. The results showed that the implementation of the program, ranging from the purpose, process and results of activities considered good; the partnership also conducted gets a good assessment of the parties involved, which are the NGO as the initiator of the program, the elements of society as a participant of the program, the church as a community motivator and PPL as a facilitator; economic empowerment has not fully occurred even though the community empowerment has been revealed in the level of knowledge and skills of cocoa cultivation; the program developments expected are start from the participants' commitment to the skills, process assistance, cacao's model plantation, and the training of technology processing.
