Abstract

Teknologi informasi dalam era globalisasi seakan telah menjadi bagian
tak terpisahkan dari kebutuhan organisasi yang harus dipenuhi. Teknologi
informasi menawarkan kemudahan keiYadct manusia, karena mampu'mengo­
lah, menyediakan, dan mengirim informasi secara lebih cepatdan.mudah.
Basis data (data base) adalan suatu bentuk pengorganisasiandanpengelo­
laan data organisasi dengan menggunakan teknologi injorm,as{b,eriujuan
membantu menyediakan informasi kepada manajemen dalam proses pengam-

bilan keputusan ekonomi. .

Makalah ini mengupasperan basis data sebagai suatu pendekatan dalam
manajemen sumber daya manusia. Analisis dan pembahasan artikel ini
diarahkan pada perancangan dan pemanfaatan basis data dalam mendukung
penyediaan informasi kepegawaian secara lebih cepat, mudah, dan murah di
IKIP Yogyakarta.
