RWC Policy

Informasi is committed to keeping the scholarly record accurate and complete. Published articles are not changed or removed silently. This page explains how authors may withdraw a manuscript and summarises the notices the journal uses to correct or flag published articles, with links to the pages that set out each procedure in full. It follows the COPE Retraction Guidelines.

1. Withdrawal of Manuscripts
Stage Description
Before acceptance Authors may withdraw a manuscript at any time during review. The corresponding author sends a request to the Editor-in-Chief, on behalf of all authors, giving the reason.
After acceptance Withdrawal is allowed only in exceptional cases, for example when the authors discover a serious error. The request must explain the reason, be signed by all authors, and be approved by the Editor-in-Chief.
After publication A published article cannot be withdrawn. It can only be corrected or retracted, as summarised in Section 2.
  • A manuscript is considered withdrawn only after the Editor-in-Chief confirms the withdrawal in writing. Authors must not submit it to another journal before then.
  • No fee or penalty is charged for withdrawing a manuscript.
  • Withdrawal does not end an inquiry into suspected misconduct. Such cases are handled under the Research Misconduct Policy.
2. Notices for Published Articles
Notice When it is used Procedure
Erratum Corrects a significant error made by the journal during production. Post-Publication
Corrigendum Corrects a significant error made by the authors that does not invalidate the main findings, including changes to the author list. Post-Publication
Addendum Adds information from the authors that clarifies or updates the article, without changing its findings. Post-Publication
Expression of Concern Alerts readers to serious doubts about an article while the evidence is inconclusive or an investigation is under way. Research Misconduct
Retraction Withdraws a published article whose findings cannot be relied upon or that involves serious misconduct. The article remains online, marked “RETRACTED”. Retraction
Retraction with replacement Used when an honest error invalidates the results but the authors can provide corrected, valid findings. The retraction notice links to the corrected article. Retraction
Removal Used only in exceptional cases, for legal reasons or to protect the privacy or safety of a person. The title, authors, DOI, and a notice explaining the removal remain online. Retraction
All decisions on notices are made by the Editor-in-Chief, after the authors have been given the opportunity to respond. Requests and concerns can be sent through the Contact page.
