Fenomena alam seperti gempa bumi, tsunami, badai, sering terjadi akhir-akhir ini.Informasi dapat diketahui masyarakat dunia dengan sangat cepat. Bahkan fen omena
alam seperti hujan dan badai pun dapat diprediksi relative tepat baik lokasi maupun
waktunya seperti hujan, badai, bahkan tsunami. Hal ini sangat penting untuk diketahui
karena akan mengurangi korban bencana alam. Banyaknya korban bencana alam di
NAD merupakan contoh betapa sedikitnya pengetahuan masyarakat tentang tsu
nami. Artikel ini memberikan gambaran mengenai prediksi bencana alam badai dan
kemanfaatan Sistem Informasi Geografis.
