Dampak Fenomena El Nino dan La Nina di Yogyakarta dan Sekitarnya berdasarkan Curah Hujan dan Nilai SOI

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas dampak Fenomena El Nino dan La Nina di Yogyakarta dan Sekitarnya berdasarkan Curah Hujan dengan Nilai SOI. Analisis didasarkan pada data sekunder yang berupa data curah hujan, data nilai Southern Osccilation Index (SOI) yang telah dirumuskan oleh National Climate Centre (NCC). Sajian data berupa table dan gambar sebagai bahan kajian. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa ada kaitan antara nilai SOI dengan angka tinggi dan durasi yang cukup lama terhadap kepekaan wilayah Yogyakarta dan sekitarnya oleh pengaruh El Nino, tetapi sama sekali tidak ada dampaknya pada nilai SOI rendah (kurang dari 10 baik positif maupun negatif), apalagi pada durasi kurang dari 4 bulan.
