Authorship

Authorship

Authorship serves as recognition for a researcher's contributions to a study while conferring scientific accountability. An individual qualifies to be listed as an author if they meet all of the following criteria:

  • Substantial Contribution: Actively involved in conceptualizing or designing the research, acquiring data, analyzing or interpreting data, developing new software used in the work, or drafting the initial manuscript and substantively revising its content.

  • Manuscript Approval: Giving final approval for the submitted version of the manuscript, including any substantial modifications involving their contribution to the study.

  • Accountability: Agreeing to be personally accountable for their own contributions and ensuring that any questions regarding the accuracy or integrity of any part of the research—even those in which they were not directly involved—will be appropriately investigated, resolved, and documented in the literature.

Jurnal Economia encourages collaboration with local researchers in the locations where the research is conducted and requires their inclusion as co-authors, provided they fulfill the criteria above. Contributors who do not meet all criteria for authorship should instead be listed in the Acknowledgements section.
