Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.


Author Guidelines

General Guidelines:

  1. The paper needs to be one of the followings; research paper, literatur review, conceptual paper, or view points in economis and its related subjects.
  2. The paper has not been published previously and it is not under consideration for publication in other journal or any kind of publication.
  3. Plagiarism/similarity index does not exceed 30%.
  4. The manuscript should be submitted by online submission.
  5. Jurnal Economia (JECO) accepts paper submitted in softcopy and Microsoft Word format.
  6. It is within the rights of Editor to make any change in the submitted paper for proof reading purpose, without changing the paper’s content.

Writing Guidelines:

  1. The manuscript needs to be written in English or Indonesia.
  2. The manuscript should be written by using available template within 8 to 20 pages.
  3. The citation and references are referred to American Psychological Association (APA) (Sixth Edition) style. We recommend using a reference application management such as EndNote, Mendeley, Zotero, or References Tab on Microsoft Word.

All papers published by Jurnal Economia do not represent Editorial Board of Jurnal Economia Faculty of Economics Yogyakarta State University. Author is fully responsible for his or her own paper.

Manuscript Assessment:

All manuscripts will be reviewed based on the following criteria:

  1. Title of the paper (It needs to be concise)
  2. Abstract (It needs to properly describe the paper, and it should not be more than 150 words)
  3. Appropriate keywords
  4. Appropriate objectives
  5. Adequate theoretical basis
  6. Proper explanation of research method
  7. Concise and clear identification of problems
  8. Proper explanation of findings and results
  9. Concise and valuable conclusion
  10. The paper’s contribution for scholars and practitioners in economics and its related subjects.
  11. The content of paper needs to be constructed based on the writing system guidelines
  12. Adequate and proper grammar
  13. Using recent journals and publication as references (The reference needs to consist of journals or research papers by 50 percent at minimum, and also 50 percent of the references were published within the last ten years).
  14. Reference list needs to be written based of the provided reference guidelines.
  15. The number of pages in paper needs to fall within our criteria.


Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word document file format.
  3. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  4. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:

  1. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
  2.
