Globali ation has started. People all over the world
depend on each other in all
aspects, such as cultural, economic,
and political aspects. In the cultural aspect, in
particular, the cultural boundaries have blurred. This era is a challenge for the field
of education. For that reason, this article tries to emphasi e the importance of moral
values as the main concern in the educational process. To prepare
human beings
who possess moral values in the globali ation era, educational institutions still play
important roles although they are not the ones. All segments in society, mainly
families,
must prepare human sources with moral integrity. In reality, educational
institutions have double roles; on the one hand, they
must prepare learners with
good personality, and on the other, they must prepare learners to be competitive in
the dynamics ofthe global world s challenge
