Abstract


Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan monitoring, evaluasi, dan pelaporan untuk penilaian kinerja manajerial kepala sekolah. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan desain kualitatif melalui studi kasus multi-situs induksi analitis termodifikasi. Sumber data penelitian adalah kepala sekolah dasar sebanyak 21 orang yang berasal dari tiga kecamatan di Malang Raya. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Narasumber diwawancarai dan terlibat dalam forum group discussion. Kehadiran peneliti di tengah latar penelitian merupakan suatu keharusan karena peneliti dalam sebuah penelitian kualitatif merupakan instrumen kunci untuk menangkap makna. Analisis data ini dilakukan dalam proses penelitian secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan beberapa hambatan perlu dihilangkan dalam pelaksanaan monitoring, evaluasi, dan pelaporan untuk penilaian kinerja manajerial kepala sekolah. THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE MONITORING, EVALUATION, AND REPORTING FOR ASSESSING THE SCHOOL PRINCIPALS’ MANAGERIAL PERFORMANCE Abstract: This study was aimedto reveal the implementation of the monitoring, evaluation, and reporting for assessing the school principals’ managerial performance. The study used the qualitative design through the modified analytical inductive multi-site case study. The data sources of the study were 21 elementary school principals from three subdistricts in Malang Raya. The data were collected through observations, documents, and interviews. The resources were interviewed and they were involved in the forum group discussion. The researcher was in the field because the researcher was the key instrument in a qualitative study. The data were analyzed in the research process using the qualitative descriptve analysis. The findings showed that some barriers needed to be removed in the implementation of the monitoring, evaluation, and reporting for assessing the school principals’ managerial performance.
