PENGARUH KINERJA GURU TERHADAP MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA

Abstract


Abstrak: Pengaruh Kinerja Guru terhadap Motivasi Belajar Siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap (1) tingkat kinerja guru IPS SMP Muhammadiyah Purworejo; (2) motivasi belajar siswa; dan (3) pengaruh kinerja guru terhadap motivasi belajar siswa SMP Muhammadiyah Purworejo. Populasi penelititian seluruh siswa SMP Muhammadiyah Purworejo. Sampel diambil menggunakan teknik stratified random sampling. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan angket tertutup. Data dianalisis menggunakan korelasi parsial dan regresi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kinerja guru 61,5 % tergolong baik (61,5%) sedangkan motivasi belajar siswa termasuk kategori tinggi (48,5%). Hasil analisis inferensial dengan menggunakan regresi diperoleh koefisien determinan (R ) sebesar 0.353 (F = 13.508 sig = 0.000 <0.05). This study attempted to reveal: (1) the performance of Social Studies teachers at SMP Muhammadiyah Purworejo; (2) the students’ learning motivation; and (3) the influence of the teachers’ performance on students’ learning motivation. The population was all students of SMP Muhammadiyah Purworejo. The sample was taken using the stratified random sampling technique. The data, analyzed using the partial correlation and regression analyses, were collected using the close-ended questionnaire. The findings showed that the teachers’ performance belonged to good category (61.5%) while the students’ learning motivation was in the high category (48.5%). The regression analysis showed that the determinant coefficient (R 2 ) was 0.353 (F = 13.508 sig = 0.000 <0.05). Keywords: teachers’ performance, learning motivation, social studies
