The Effectiveness of Numbered Head Together in Learning

Bambang Saptono, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, Indonesia

Abstract

Less than optimal learning outcomes are often a problem faced by elementary school teachers in the field. This research aims to describe student learning outcomes before the NHT Cooperative Learning Model is implemented, describe student learning outcomes after the NHT Cooperative Learning Model is implemented, and test the influence of the Numbered Head Together Cooperative Learning Model on elementary school student learning outcomes. This research is a type of quasi-experimental research using a quantitative approach. The sample in this study was 15 elementary school students at Class IV level obtained from the target class in elementary school. Data collection was carried out using learning outcomes test and observation techniques. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis via the t test. The results of the research show that there is a significant influence of the Numbered Head Together Cooperative Learning Model on student learning outcomes.
