The ribbon embroidery training program on hijabs was organized for the women of the PKK group in Cerme Village, Bangmalang V, Panjatan, Kulon Progo, as an effort to enhance skills and productivity in the field of handicrafts. This activity provided practical skills that can be utilized as an additional source of family income, while also supporting local economic empowerment. The training methods included both theoretical sessions and hands-on practice. Participants learned basic to advanced techniques of ribbon embroidery on hijabs. Program evaluations showed positive results. PKK members who previously had no experience in ribbon embroidery demonstrated significant improvement in producing high-quality, marketable products. In addition, the program guided participants in marketing strategies, both through conventional local marketing and digitally through social media platforms. The success of the program was reflected in the participants’ increased knowledge and skills, as well as their motivation to use these skills to establish home-based microenterprises. This ribbon embroidery training is expected to become a sustainable program that strengthens family economies and opens creative business opportunities in rural areas. The program can be further developed in the future by introducing new products or collaborating with marketing partners to expand product reach and improve the overall welfare of the Cerme Village community.
